Beat the New Year’s Rush – Plan your Kitchen or Bathroom Remodel Now!

It’s hard to believe that the holidays are right around the corner. Thanksgiving is next week and Christmas will be here in a little over a month. We know right now your minds are full of holiday plans, gift ideas and embracing this special time of year, and instead of thinking about a home renovation, you are probably pondering how to decorate your tree or yard.

We understand that the holiday hoopla can overtake one’s mental prowess, but did you know that now is also a wonderful time to create an initial plan for renovations that will happen in 2016?

As the holidays come to a close, many people begin thinking about New Year’s resolutions and often times “remodel kitchen” or “renovate bathroom” are on the list. We receive many calls for consultations at the start of a new year because clients are ready to get going with their redesign. You can get ahead of the crowd by scheduling an initial consultation before everyone else.

You may be wondering what occurs during our initial consultation. During this meeting, the Braemar team will introduce ourselves and plan to accomplish the following:

Initial Consultation

  1. Discuss project parameters and budgeting.
  2. Discuss our cabinet options and our varied manufacturers. Currently, the Braemar studio features Decora´, Schrock and KitchenCraft.
  3. Execute the design agreement and retainer. We will then schedule a field measure and a design presentation meeting.

If possible, it would also be ideal to complete the three steps listed below before the holidays. That way, once the new year rings in, we can get to work right away. Some cabinets take 4-6 weeks to arrive, so it’s important to order them well in advance.

Field Measure:

The Braemar team will visit with you at your home to take photos and measure all existing conditions. An adequate field measure is an integral step in accurately designing your new space and ensuring we choose the best cabinets to fit the needs of you and your family.

Design Presentation Meeting:

At this meeting, we will review renderings, floor plans and elevations. We will then review material selections and design layout through the Environment, a digital visual that mimics what your new space will look like in real life. We will also discuss any revisions needed. Lastly, we will review all notes and change requests and adapt the design as needed.

Final Design Meeting:

When we arrive at this phase, your design reality is very close. At the final design meeting, we will review and approve revisions to the design. We will then execute a sales agreement document and order the needed cabinetry and materials. If you need guidance selecting a contractor that will fit your needs, the Braemar team can certainly help you with that as well.

How great would it feel to enter 2016 with your design plan already in place? We can always make changes as needed, but it would be very helpful to get the creative juices flowing now. Call Braemar today to schedule your initial consultation. We can’t wait to work with you!
